Clemson University, a Tier 1 research university, hired Next Generation to develop an executive search strategy for the recruitment of a new CIO to lead Clemson Computing and Information Technology (CCIT), a $40 million division with an additional $50 million contract with the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Next Generation conducted a national search for a leader to build on a foundation of accomplishment for the globally ranked and fifth most capable of all U.S. university-based supercomputing centers. The charge for the new CIO was to sustain Clemson’s leadership in research computing while building strategies to leverage technology to enhance the student experience, support outstanding teaching, and facilitate administrative effectiveness.
